I got rid of my Twitter a few years ago for my own mental health reasons. I mostly didn’t miss it. But at its best, it offered some sense of community and shared experience. I’m also hoping BlueSky can offer some of those positive things without the junk that made Twitter so miserable.
Thanks for the wonderful suggestions - and the book I can't wait to receive! I'm listening to Quincy Jones' book pub. in 2022 called "Twelve Notes" (an absolute gem with some survivor stories). In the Audible version, narrated by Q himself at the age of 88, he speaks about the miraculous way he ended up working with many musical luminaries including Frank Sinatra, and producing "Fly Me to the Moon" (which became the first song played by humans on the moon!). Who was the Fayetteville girl? I’m from Fayetteville and I’m curious.

Thanks. A great photo. I don’t know her but I wish I did!
I also dumped Twitter this week and moved over to bluesky - I encourage others to make the switch!

So, I didn’t realize that I knew two songs by the Brothers Johnson (I thought Strawberry Letter 23 was pretty awesome).
Don’t forget about “Stomp” which is another classic from the Brothers Johnson 🎸
