Moving from one project to another, plus my weekly shareables: A con artist in supermax, a dog rescuer who needed rescuing, and BLAZING SADDLES turns 50
One of my all-time favorites scenes, from one of my all-time favorite movies. Thanks for sharing it. I'll think of it as I cruise along the US 74 tollway (and the license plate cameras!) enroute to Jon G's and Peachland on Saturday! I enjoy your work.
I recently finished Elephant in the Room. Do you ever hear or read something and find it so funny that you’re still laughing about it weeks later? That’s me with “the Shroud of Matt” from your freshman year at Georgia.
There is a new podcast called talking pictures. It's hosted by Ben Mankiewicz. He interviewed Mel Brooks. He so sharp. I have head some of the stories he told but they are still funny. About 5 years ago he was touring the country talking about Blazing Saddles. The movie is still funny and Mel was great. I either read it recently or Mel said it on the podcast, but he believes he could make the movie today. Here is Mel on the Tonight Show. So funny https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2bAV50HVIY

Your excitement is so palpable when writing about Dogland that I feel it too! I can’t wait for my signed copy.
