In the iconic (not really) late 90’s sit-com, Suddenly Susan, Judd Nelson’s character referred to his middle-aged grunts as “old daddy noises” so that’s what Lisa & I call them still.

I have to tell you, I was envisioning a whole different person for who John Mulaney was! I was so surprised when I clicked on the link! I’ll be checking this out.

As for Kimmery Martin, I was fortunate enough to have found her when her first book came out. I’ve already followed her, but want to thank you so much for recommending additional Substackers. I love Flashlight and A Biscuit and Rabbit Hole!

I’m beginning to wish Substack would offer a rafter of authors for a set price (subscribe to 3 for $150-175 annually!).

And, as always, thanks for the Jason Isabel link.

I can’t get past the experience of Amy’s father in China. I am just shocked I didn’t start crying, to be honest.

I grunt when I get in and out of my car when I'm alone. I refuse to do it when someone else is in the car.

I was in a dressing room trying to get my clothes off grunting the whole time to the point the shop owner asked if I was ok. I was so embarrassed. Reminding myself that I’m still here by God, grunts and all!
