I always look forward to, and read beginning to end, your emails. I fervently hope more of the world gets to read your work. You are a bright spot in a darkened space because you generously share your thoughts and kindness. And you clearly work very hard on your interview questions -/ you are a winner of the “that’s a very good question” response from people you interview. That Jessica Fletcher line made me laugh out loud for real. Stay well please.

I love recommendations. It’s kinda become my pet peeve of people joking about ignoring suggestions of tv shows from friends that occurs often on social media. If someone I care about thinks I would like something I find that fun and worth looking into. And there is nothing better when you find something you both enjoy and can talk about.

first of all was getting your news letter and when iI stopped getting it I guess I forgot about it. Finally decided to see where you where. I do subscribe to some other substacks mainly political. However I like podcasts, so here are a few favorites. You must Rememer. A podcast abot hollywood. Hosted by Karina Longworth. Her podcasts are divded into seasons where she covers a topic in ten episodes or so. Michael Lews of Moneball fame has a good podcast. A lot of the episodes are about experts and what makes an expert. EPSN Daily. Hosted by Pablo Torre. Covers a lot of interesting sports Topics. Two Writers Slinging Yang. Hosted by Jeff Pearlman. He interviews a wrtier every week. Well over 200 episodes. Most the writers he interviews are sports writers. But every once in a while he throws in some one that isn't involved in sports. Last week he interviewed Howard Bryant as his new book about Ricky Henderson was released. Finally David Sampson's Nothing Personal. A combination of straight sports,, sports business. Not so much about individual games. Some times talks about what is happening outside of sports, such as the murders in Texas. I think his voice could be a litte bit much on the ears, but he is always interesting. Samson was president of the Miami Marlins. He talks about that every once on a while. Really great insights on what goes off the field.
