Perfectly said, as always!

Thank you for always being one of my favorite writers.

This is pure beauty and joy. Lori and I are in year 33 and there’s still magic in her giggles and smiles. Not to mention the brushing of her hand on my back ...

We're at 23 years. Our "tells" are different, the reaction is the same (re: Well, except maybe when Alix winks at me across the breakfast table. Or when she walks by and her hand brushes across my back.)

Right on our heels! And yeah, every couple has different tells. It's kind of amazing, actually, when you see another couple's tell in action ...

There is nothing I like better than bragging on our (soon-to-be) 27 years of wedded bliss (well, mostly). Doing anything well for a quarter of a century or longer takes a certain level of determination and a whole lot of mutual support. We started late at 41 (me) and 39, but our sights are firmly set on that golden anniversary and beyond. May you and Alix continue to grow and prosper together!

I'm a great believer in serendipity, and seeing y'all there right after reading your "silver" piece was just kinda cool. A side note regarding that "other" Stuart...he worked for WRAL in Raleigh in the late 80's while I was a videographer for WPTF across town. I got several calls meant for him that allowed us to scoop the mighty 5 on some not-really-important stories and gave our struggling little newsroom something to smile about. Good times!

I love YOU and YOU and YOU together. And I'm swept up in your descriptions about how one navigates a life together. I've been single most of my life, though my love for my daughter is one powerful force, tugging at my heart ini ways I never knew my heart could be tugged. Happy 25th, and I also love how you'll be celebrating by taking in a few minor league ballgames. What could be better?

Melissa! Thank you so much. And you're right, what's better than a baseball game?
