Thank you for checking in. There is too much going on. I feel a collective grief in addition to the personal grief you are feeling. Please take care of yourself.

It’s so good to hear from you. This has been a difficult year in so many ways and everyone needs to take some time to just breathe every once in awhile.

I think we have all been missing you! I understand the artistic drought; it has been a heavy year so far and I think lots of us are in a funk. Thank goodness spring is on the way. I loved this talk with Anna Sale and so glad she allowed you to share the audio. People should not be made to feel small, in their jobs, whether it be the public or private sector. You hit the nail on the head that they will never forget the “chain jerking” by a group of people who really have no clue. We all understand trimming is needed from time to time but to do it in such a chaotic, careless manner is so shortsighted. That people have become nothing more than numbers on a spreadsheet is just not who America is or who I want us to be. Ed’s story reminds me of the local, state, and federal workers each of us need to thank more! Thank you for sharing his story and all that he meant to you and your family. See you again soon 🙂

Perhaps there’s the next story idea. Many of us are facing stress and fatigue from trying to navigate being in a place not imaginable. When cherished beliefs and institutions are under attack.

Fallow time is an important part of the creative -- and healing -- process. Lots happening under the surface. When you live in a rural area you see the fields go through these dormant/churned up/growing/harvesting cycles. Peace!
