Bio
Tommy Tomlinson is the author of two books: The Elephant in the Room, a memoir about being overweight in America, and Dogland, about the Westminster Dog Show and the bond between dogs and their people. He also writes a newsletter called The Writing Shed. He has written for Esquire, ESPN the Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Forbes, and many other publications. He was a longtime columnist for the Charlotte Observer, where he was a Pulitzer Prize finalist in commentary. He also hosted the podcast SouthBound for WFAE, the NPR station in Charlotte.
Tommy and his wife, Alix Felsing, live in Charlotte with a cat named Jack Reacher.
