Tommy, we are watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine for the first time, and I appreciate the love they give to the binder-loving, planner-making Amy. (My detail-loving heart wanted to pause just now, to research whether the second “nine” should be capitalized in that title.) Your football rankings earlier in the week made me think you might also be kind of an Amy, paired often with the reckless creativity of a Rosa.

(All of that is meant as compliment …)

That kayaker story was fascinating and honestly, what is wrong with the both of them? Also he totally got scammed by the Russians. AND - love the Jack Reacher pic💙

Was. John Cowan with the Doobies? I love Michael too but I adore John. In fact I'm playing his CD Sixty right now!

It was him! I think he’s played with the Doobies for a while now…

Whew man! That story from The Atlantic about the “kayaker” aka asshole from Wisconsin. The things people come up with to do!

I’ve been a subscriber to Charlotte magazine since I moved here in the late 90’s. I’ve relied on it for restaurant recommendations, learning about interesting people and events in the Charlotte area and even to see if my doctors make the “best of” list (they all did!!).

I still like the feel of real pages in my hands. It breaks my heart to lose this local resource and I hope the staff quickly land new gigs.

I might have wasted quite a few minutes at work last week reading the first part of the kayak story, then got my family so invested that we listened to the entire story while road tripping this weekend. We all agreed that we definitely would have had more questions about the reverse vasectomy...

I don't know if you'll continue the great College Name of the Week Feature beyond football season, but since we are in the transition period between football and basketball seasons, I'd like to nominate Florida basketball's sophomore guard Boogie Fland.
