I’m so glad to be able to let everyone know about this … here’s the scoop on my DOGLAND book event/discussion/launch party in Charlotte!
April 23 is the day DOGLAND officially comes out and I’m thrilled to be able to kick off my book tour in front of a hometown crowd.
Admission is free but you have to register:
The McColl Family Theater holds 570 people … that’s a BIG venue for a book event and I would love to be able to say we filled the place. Thanks to the Library Foundation and my colleagues at WFAE for co-sponsoring the event.
My friends at Park Road Books will be on hand to sell copies of the book, and if you buy a copy elsewhere I’ll be happy to sign those as well. (Of course, you can still get a specially inscribed preorder.)
This is just the beginning. I’ll be announcing more tour dates as soon as we get the details locked down … and we might have some special guest stars along the way. If you’re interested in having me come to your bookstore or festival or dog show, contact our publicist, Rhina Garcia, at rhina.garcia@simonandschuster.com.
In the meantime, remember that paid subscribers to the Writing Shed will get some DOGLAND-related perks, including a deleted scene and a special Ask Me Anything. So if you haven’t become a paid subscriber yet:
I can’t wait to hit the road, see a bunch of old friends again, and make some new ones. And, of course, talk about dogs.

Wonderful news! I can’t wait to read your new book! Congratulations!🐾
Will your book tour bring you to Paris? I preordered my copy of your book and I’ll be reading over Zoom to my dog who is housesitting for me in Delaware…
